Palsy and although physically disabled, he can walk and has the use of his right side.

Due to the spasticity of his facial muscles he is
unable to speak. His adversities, however, have made him more determined and he works hard to achieve his goals.
Emil is not deaf but uses sign language and a communication aid called a Pathfinder to communicate. He has also worked with a professional therapist to improve his literacy.

Whilst still at school Emil showed a keen interest in art.  He uses watercolour as his medium and has exhibited with the “art givers”.

Emil is a very socialble young man known for his great big smile
.

He has always shown an interest in sport and found his way to golf.
The South African Disabled Golf Association has provided Emil with a coach who teaches him weekly. You will always find him in the back garden practicing his putting or chipping. For the past 2 years he has been made the Ambassador for SADGA which is such confidence boost for him

It is such a pleasure to see him communicate through his love for art.
